Accessing Your Transcription History

1. Access History Menu: Click on the three dots (⋯) in the main interface then Dictation History
2. View Your History: A dropdown menu will appear showing your recent transcriptions
3. Select and Copy: Click on any previous transcription to automatically copy it to your clipboard

Key Features

• Last 10 Transcriptions: Alter automatically keeps your most recent 10 dictations
• Rolling History: When you create an 11th dictation, the oldest one is automatically removed
• Persistent Storage: Your history persists even after restarting your computer
• Universal Compatibility: Works with all AI models (Cloud, local models, etc.)
• One-Click Copy: Simply select any transcription from the history to copy it to your clipboard

Settings and Customization

Automatic Clipboard Copy

1. Open Settings: Navigate to Alter’s settings
2. Go to Dictation Tab: Find the dictation-specific tab
3. Enable Auto-Copy: Toggle “Keep dictation in Pasteboard” to automatically copy every transcription to your clipboard
4. Clipboard Manager Integration: This feature works seamlessly with third-party clipboard manager apps
